The Eastern Region has been blessed with unparalleled talents of every kind with music being dominant.
Many of such music talents who have broken through and left footprints of their music in the hearts and minds of music lovers nationally and internationally are Elder Mireku, Rocky Dawuni, Ohemaa Mercy, the late Dasebre Gyamena, Abirekyeiba Kofi Sammy among others.
Many of the young up and coming musicians spread around the region possesses such music prowess but with little financial muscle to push their talent for national recognition.
Among the varied challenges that most up and coming artists are faced with, Dassebreba Kwame, Kobby UrGe and Amazyn Gee through hard work and dedication, are leaving no stone unturned in registering their music as household names in Koforidua, the capital of Eastern Region.

They were also selected to be part of the Kofcity We Dey project for 2019/20 organized by Joy Daddy Multimedia based in Koforidua.
The Kofcity We Dey Project is a yearlong annual event with the main objective of raising at least one Eastern Region based top musician.
Popularly identified with the traditional highlife genre, Dassebreba Kwame previously with the stage name Kwame Rhatty entered into music professionally through the late Dasebre Gyamena.
Born and raised in Srodae, a suburb in Koforidua, the highlife crooner since 2016 recorded songs including, I Do, Sorry which features Koo Ntakra, Summer Time, Only You and more.
Dassebreba in 2019 released a hit song Ware Me which became the toast at every wedding reception received massive rotation on most radio stations in and outside Eastern Region
Dassebreba Kwame in 2019 was also selected to be part of the Kofcity We Dey project and has plans of continuously churning out authentic highlife music to come from the Eastern Region and Ghana as a whole.
His desire, however, is to use every platform available to transforms lives through music and to campaign against Road Accidents.

Born Evans Kwabena Horsu, Kobby UrGe who currently resides in Nsawam in the Eastern Region is from Atsiavi in the Volta Region of Ghana.
He discovered his music talent at an early age of 15 in 2013 in his final year at the Junior High School. career when I was 15 years old in the year 2013 when I was in my final year in Junior High School.
Kobby UrGe whose music dexterity switches mainly between Hip Hop, Hiplife and Afrobeat came third (3rd) at the maiden edition of the National Rap Show, organized by Joy Daddy Multimedia in Koforidua.
He was also selected to be part of the Kofcity We Dey project and has before then released Obaa Heema, Quality Life, Eda Wanim ft. Koo Ntakra, Patience and Omo Killer.
UrGe is currently promoting his hit single Love and Anger which features Jay Biizi. He is working hard to release his debut album and stage his own concert by the end of 2020.

Being one among male-dominated musical talents in the Eastern Region, Amazyn Gee is a force to reckon when it comes to contemporary highlife music.
She was born in Damongo in the newly created Savannah Region where she received her basic school education through to the Senior High School.
Born Grace Kumatey, after her SHS education moved to Nkurankan in the Eastern region to start her music career professionally in 2013.

Amazyn Gee has gone through very tough times until she had her first breakthrough song titled Wallet. Wallet received good media both on-air and online mileage which won her the Female Vocalist of the Year at the Eastern Music Awards in 2018.
Amazyn Gee is also currently promoting he first single Di Wo Fie Asem under her new management, Eastside Records.
She also earns a spot as the only female among 10 males on the Kofcity We Dey project for 2019/20

“I’m just foolish with my obsession for big buttocks”
Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face has clarified that his marital challenges are due to a foolish obsession and has no spiritual underpinnings.
The comedian who has suffered two failed marriages has admitted responsibility and revealed his obsession with big buttocks as the reason for the divorces.
Funny Face in an Instagram post on Monday, June 1, 2020, exclaimed,
“I’m just foolish with my obsession for big buttocks; there is nothing spiritual about me chasing after big buttocks.”
He cautioned people to desist from relating his failed marriages to spirituality and pointed out that he is suffering because of big buttocks.
He has however taken full responsibility for not choosing women who believed in his dreams and will understand him but big buttocks which yielded the same results.

Ghanaian Entertainment Industry Is Blind to Up and Coming Artistes – Article Wan
Article Wan revealed that most up and coming artistes are even working harder and therefore deserve a better recognition.
Ghanaian performer and producer, Article Wan has in an interview described the Ghanaian entertainment industry as blind.
According to the musician, the industry has refused to open their eyes to other musicians especially the budding ones. Their focus has only been on the same old people.
“There are a lot of artists on the streets who are doing better and trust me when they are giving a little attention u will forget about the big names in the industry,” he revealed.
Article Wan who made this revelation on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, on the Best Entertainment show on Okay Fm with Halifax Ansah Addo said that most up and coming artistes are even working harder and therefore deserve a better recognition.
He also added that the media is not helping them with promoting their works.

I Won’t Hit Back at Anybody Who Disses Me – Dada Hafco
The “Yebewo Nti” hitmaker, Dada Hafco has condemned dissing among artistes in the name of showbiz industry.
According to Terry Boamah, popularly known as Dada Hafco, a musician is considered globally big with his or her content and not beef.
Speaking on the holiday edition of Adom Fm’s, Work and Happiness entertainment show yesterday with Black Eye, the highlife musician explained that even though some of his colleagues enjoy beefing to stay relevant, he thinks it is an unhealthy culture.
He revealed his brand is fully focusing on good contents with good music and will therefore not engage in beef.
“I won’t even hit back at anybody who attacks me with beef,” he stated.
