“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
Shortly after Jesus departed this Earth to Heaven, His disciples continued the work He started. One day, Peter and John went preaching and the people marvelled at the boldness with which they preached the scriptures.

It is important for us to note that what got the attention of the people wasn’t the prayer life or the spirituality of Peter and John but their Christ-like character. The people realized Peter and John were with Jesus because they exhibited Christ-like character.
Dear friend, it is good to pray, it is wonderful to speak in tongues for hours but if your character isn’t like that of Christ, you are not His. Will people see your character and your attitude and conclude that you know Jesus?

There must be a difference between the lifestyle of a Christian and that of a non-Christian. For those of us who claim we know Jesus, our attitude, character, speech and lifestyle must support our claim.
We cannot engage in sinful practices and still claim we know Jesus. Knowing Jesus must transform our lives. Knowing Jesus must transform our mindset and our character.

The measure of our Christianity is the degree to which our lifestyle and character align with that of Christ. We cannot claim we know Christ yet live and behave just anyhow.
Have you been with Christ? Do you know Jesus? Then live as He lived. That’s all that matters.
