Artist manager and entertainment critic, Emmanuel Barnes, known in Ghanaian showbiz as Mr. Logic have advised fast-rising singer IONA to curve her own niche than replicating the legacy of the late Ebony Reigns.
The Head of Ghana Association of Songwriters, Mr. Logic descended on the IONA and other up and coming female singers for the acts of introducing profanity into their songs. A strategy they believe will make them popular quickly.
He added that there are lots of female musicians who are making it big without going nude or using profanity in their songs.
“Adina and MzVee don’t do nude or profane… nothing but they’re big! [To blow], it’s about your talent, delivery, and passion for music. You don’t need to go nude. Ebony made it with that style. She was a great singer but her projection wasn’t proper. I don’t expect you ladies to tow that line,” he advised.
Mr. Logic applauded the young songstress IONA for her great voice and advised her to create her own lane and be in it. He also advised her to desist from profanity in her songs because real people will listen to her music and she needs to come clean.
