Cwesi Oteng Reveals Why He Endorsed President Nana Addo in 2016

Ghanaian urban gospel musician, Cwesi Oteng revealed his decision to endorse President Nana Addo in the 2016 general elections was based on his promise to build a National Cathedral.

The musician emphasized that endorsement of political parties and presidential candidates must not be in a vacuum but based on track record.

Cwesi Oteng who openly campaigned for Nana Addo and the New Patriotic Party – NPP in the last elections mentioned that the presidents plan to build an edifice to worship God drove him to endorse him.

“I realised you just don’t endorse for endorsing sake, you endorse with a message and this particular election, I endorsed him because of his agenda to build the National Cathedral. The whole idea to build a National Cathedral is something that moves me,” he disclosed.

In an interview on Okay Fm’s Best Entertainment Show with Halifax Ansah-Addo added that any individual who honours God and wants to do something for God in such magnitude for the Christian community deserves applause.

Cwesi Oteng who spoke highly of President Nana Addo noted that for a very long time, Ghanaians have not had a president with such an agenda.
