I Am the First in My Family to Work in A Government Institution - Jeffrey Kwasi Boakye

Gospel musician, Jeffrey Kwasi Boakye has deemed it the Lords’ orchestration to be the first person in his family to work in a government institution.

The musician who works with the Eastern Regional Ghana National Fire Service came to Koforidua from Kumasi in 2007 revealed his employment with the fire service is still a wonder to his family.

“I can say I am the first person in my family to work in a government institution and nobody in my family understands how I got the government work,” the musician disclosed.

In an exclusive interview with on Friday, 24 July 2020, the gospel musician further disclosed how he has to sneak sleep in a kiosk for a whole year.

“I was staying with my two (2) grandmothers and the room was too small for the three (3) of us and the only alternative was to sleep in an uncle’s kiosk. I had to sneak into the kiosk at night and sneak out at dawn in other not to be noticed,” he confessed.

Jeffrey Kwasi Boakye, ahead of his yet to be released single, “Victory” said the song reminds him so much of the immeasurable goodness of God upon his life. He recalled how he came to the gospel scene in the Eastern Region with his debut song, “Yesu Nkoa” which won him the Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Eastern Music Awards in 2019.

“The Victory song totally reminds me of the goodness of God and I don’t take it for a joke. If I am asked today to go back to where God took me from, I won’t even find my way. I am a living testimony of God’s destiny changing work. I have seen and taste of the goodness of God,” minister Jeffrey stated.

“It brings into my heart some sweetness. And that is the place from which I wrote the song; from the abundance of an overflowing joy of God’s victory for my life,” he added

The gospel worshipper urges believers and every supporter of his ministry to keep trusting God and his words, and walk according to His will for the Victory of God to them is yes and Amen.
