Kwame Dadzie has again discovered another ‘oven’ at the Accra International Conference Center at the just ended 5th AFRIMA ceremony

Last year, on October 24, he wrote an article calling on all Event organisers and patron to boycott the ‘oven’ called National Theatre

“We can’t risk suffocating in that ‘oven.’ The air-cons must be replaced or the theatre be closed down,” he stated

The Citi Fm entertainment maverick, Kwame Dadzie’s annoying and persistent articles for event managers and planners to boycott the National Theater forced the authorities to purchase 4 new mobile AC’s to augment their central AC system

Kwame, recounting his experience at the 2018 edition of All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) at the Accra International Conference Center  had added more mobile ACs but patrons were literally drenched in sweat.

He however again expressed his disappointment at how air-conditioning systems at AICC and other event centers are becoming a lingering plight.

“…and I discovered another ‘oven’ after a year of National Theatre fight,” he stated

“Just when we thought we had solved the National Theatre problem to quite an appreciable level, I observed we would have to add the air-conditioning system at the AICC to our many problems,” he added

Kwame Dadzie further appealed to the government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts Culture to build theaters with the state of art air-conditioning facilities

He reiterated that, once the government through the ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has realised the significance of hosting the event Ghana, it must as well note that hosting comes with a lot of things – not just the ability to pay $4.5 million for a three-year hosting ‘franchise.’

“We can’t be splurging money on AFRIMA when we can’t have proper auditoriums for events,” he concluded
