Paa Dogo, born Raymond Kwaku Takyi, after over a ten-year break from the Ghanaian music scene, is back with pockets of controversies directed at his longtime Hammer of the Last Two mate Kwaw Kesse
In an interview with atmogh.com, the one-time Nika Mu Kwadu hitmaker Paa Dogo explained how he took Kwaw Kesse through the rudiments of rap. He further revealed how he got Kwaw Kesse a spot on the Hammer Compilation.
“Kwaw is my student. After he completed Winneba SHS, he came to me requesting that I teach him all he needs to know about rap. I gladly took him on because when he was at school he took me as a role model and was nicknamed Dogo. I taught him rap,” he disclosed
“I was the one who introduced Kwaw Kesse to Hammer. Hammer got to know him since I frequent the studio with him during the time of Hammer Compilation. I helped him write the ‘Nonsense” song for the compilation which gave him performance opportunities whenever he followed me to shows,” he added
Talking about their current relationship, Dogo explained he has no bad blood against Kwaw Kesse. He does not remember doing anything against him except that he talks ill against me to my friends who knew about our relationship. I know where and how he started his music career and the least I expect from him is not to go out soiling my name
“Kwaw is an ungrateful person. He doesn’t remember the help I gave him. I don’t need anything from him so he should stop maligning me to others,” he said
“I know he (Kwaw Kesse) can never reply but if he dares give a reply, that will be the end of his career. I will retire him from music without a pension. He is a junkie and his juju money can never save his soul,” Paa Dogo cautioned
However, Paa Dogo has released a diss track titled ‘Letter To Kwaw Kese’, and produced by Proxy Jay.
