Nigerians Invest More in Movie Stories and Casts Than Ghanaians – Enock Darko

Enock Darko, popularly known as Mr Tutu has disclosed that Nigerians invest in good movie stories and casts than in the Ghanaian movie industry.

He also mentioned that Nigerians use different casts that people will not get tired of.

“Nigerian people do good stories and they use more people. They use different faces that u won’t get tired of one particular act,” he said.

In an exclusive interview with www.asiwomewrites.com on Saturday, July 20, 2020, the 2011 Talented Kidz second runner-up revealed he was introduced to the Nigerian movie industry by a Nigerian movie producer, Uchenna Mbunabo of One and Two Productions in 2018.

The comedian cum actor, Enock Darko since arriving in Nigerian has featured in many movies with some notable names such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor, Pete Edochie, Osita Iheme (popularly known as Pawpaw), Destiny Etiko, Too Sweet Annan and Stella Udeze.

Movies he has been cast in include What A Bombshell, Joro, A Trip to Ghana, Chioma My Love, Woman on Fire, Wild Heart and Pregnant Virgin. The rest are Devil Under the Pillow, Find Me A Man, American Nigga Unseen, Blood Feud, Reason with Me, love Is a Scam, Sisters in Love and Wife Material.

The movie comedian who is very happy with the strides he is making on the Nigerian screens mentioned that the Nigerian movie industry has a strong guild that has the authority to stop production if a cast is unfairly paid and not treated well.

Enock Darko has however urged the Ghanaian government to ban telenovelas in other to attract producers for the proper movie industry.
