Pastor Otabil Cuts Sod for the Construction of Central University Hospital

Pastor Mensa Otabil has on last Thursday, February 27, 2020, cut the sod for the construction of the Central University Teaching Hospital on the Prampram campus of the Central University.

Pastor Otabil, who is the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church – ICGC and the Chancellor of the Central University in the company of Professor Bill Buenar Puplampu led the sod-cutting ceremony.

The Central University Hospital which is estimated at GHC 5 million will upon completion offer quality healthcare to the residents of the Ningo-Prampram and its surrounding towns and villages.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, Pastor Otabil opined that healthcare delivery is about skills and protocols adhered to by health practitioners which he hopes to establish at the hospital.

“health delivery is not about the size of buildings, but about the skills and protocols that are set up by the health practitioners that are adhered to religiously. And these are some of the things we hope to establish here at the hospital,” Pastor Otabil stated.

Professor Puplampu also observed that the hospital when completed will help to uplift science education.
