Recounting her life story in an interview with Premier, a British-based Christian radio station to mark her 7 years wedding anniversary, Sinach mentioned that the mistake most singles make is to desire marriage with the intention of looking to their spouses for true fulfillment and not God.

“Fulfilment comes from executing God’s vision for your life. The key is to be content with where God has placed you because your happiness is not coming from your husband. It is not coming from anywhere else… Fulfillment will come from the calling God has upon your life. The secret to happiness is pursuing the things God has placed in your heart,” she said.

Born Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, the musician added that singles must come to a place where they are content beyond marriage, and then, they can find a man that has the same purpose.

“If you are not content being unmarried, it is unlikely you will be content being married because your contentment does not come from being married or not being married,” she stated.
